Fascinating Fact:

Road safety includes using crossings, looking both ways, and paying attention near driveways and parked cars. Distractions like headphones can make it harder to notice danger.

In KS2 PSHE, keeping safe is about understanding hazards and knowing what to do in tricky situations. Pupils practise simple rules, learn about trusted adults, and build confidence to speak up and get support.

  • Risk: The chance that something could cause harm or go wrong.
  • Trusted adult: A grown-up you can talk to who will listen and help you, such as a parent, carer, teacher, or club leader.
  • Emergency: A serious situation where someone needs help quickly, such as an accident, fire, or a person feeling very unwell.
What does keeping safe mean in KS2 PSHE?
