Fascinating Fact:

Some adjectives are easy because they stay the same in some forms, like super and often sympa.

In KS3 Fast French, describing opinions helps you speak and write with confidence. You can give views on films, food, music, lessons, and places by choosing the right adjective, placing it correctly, and making sure it matches who or what you are describing.

  • Opinion adjective: A describing word that shows what you think, such as “great”, “boring”, or “interesting”.
  • Intensifier: A word that makes an adjective stronger or weaker, such as très (very) or assez (quite).
  • Agreement: When an adjective changes to match the gender and number of the noun (masculine/feminine, singular/plural).
How do you say “I think it is” in French?

You can say “Je pense que c’est…” (I think that it is…) or “À mon avis, c’est…” (In my opinion, it is…). Both are useful for giving opinions.

Where do opinion adjectives go in a French sentence?

Many opinion adjectives come after the noun, especially in simple descriptions. Some common adjectives can go before the noun, so learning examples helps you choose natural word order.

Do adjectives for opinions change in French?

Often they do, because adjectives usually agree with the noun in gender and number. However, some common opinion adjectives are often used without changing, depending on the word and the style.
