There are, of course, many animals in children’s literature, from The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf of fairy tale fame to Aslan the lion in C. S. Lewis’ Narnia Chronicles. But they also make many an appearance in adult stories - Buck the tame dog turned wild, and White Fang the wild dog tamed in Jack London’s works for example. Not to mention the mythological creatures, such as Argos, Odysseus faithful dog or Pegasus, the winged stallion. Animals of all kinds have made a lasting impression on the world of literary fiction.

This is the second quiz to test your knowledge of fictional creatures.
