Two-syllable words sometimes have two long vowel sounds. However, they could also have short vowel sounds too. To decode these words, the student should be able to apply the phonics rules to each syllable in order to pronounce the entire word. In this quiz, the students will read the words since they are broken down into syllables. Then the student will determine which syllable has a long vowel sound.
