Human Rights are fundamental freedoms. As long as you are a human being, you are entitled to these basic rights. Human rights are laws set by governments to ensure humans are treated fairly and given certain rights such as the right to life.

You might think you have certain rights when it comes to owning the latest gadget or what time you are allowed to go to bed. These are not human rights, but having food, water and an education are all fundamental freedoms or human rights.
