This 'Sound er' spelling quiz tests elementary school children on these two letters as a sound within words and not as a suffix.

The letters ‘er’ can be added to the end of words to alter the meaning but it is also a sound within words. This sound is stressed, which means you can hear the ‘er’ sound within the words (unlike when it’s a suffix). How many of these ‘er’ spellings do you know?
