We use adverbs a great deal in everyday speech so learning some French adverbs is very important if you want to do well in your GCSE exams. One rule which might help you is that, many (though by no means all) French adjectives are formed by adding ‘...ment’ to the end of another word, For example, the adjective ‘général’ becomes the adverb ‘généralement’. Of course, there is a lot more to it than that and this quiz will help you to learn and revise forty French adverbs.

In each question you will be given a word or words in English. All you have to do is choose the French equivalent from the four choices offered.
